MATRIX PRO RF MICRONEEDLING

The Candela Matrix Pro RF Microneedling device has the thinnest array of needles on the market, making this treatment much more comfortable with significantly less downtime compared to other RF microneedling devices. RF microneedling creates micro channels in the skin and delivers radiofrequency into multiple layers of the skin. This device can reach up to three different depths in the skin with one pass, making this treatment quicker than other devices that would require three separate passes for each depth. RF microneedling can be used on all skin types and is safe for all Fitzpatricks. This treatment stimulates collagen and elastin production and is great for fine lines/wrinkles, textured skin, acne scars, skin laxity, jowl reduction, “double chin” reduction, post-surgery or c-section scars, stretch marks and more! We recommend a series of three treatments spaced out 4-6 weeks apart. Downtime is very minimal and may look and feel like a sunburn for 24-48 hours, however, most patients report all redness dissipating within 12 hours of treatment.

EXCEED MICRONEEDLING

We microneedle with the Candela Exceed microneedling device. Microneedling creates controlled wounds in the skin to stimulate the wound healing response and collagen production. This treatment is great for both pitted and pigmented acne scars, dull skin, and fine lines and wrinkles. There is minimal downtime and this treatment is great year round! We recommend a series of at least 3 microneedling sessions for optimal results. Acne scars and deeper wrinkles may require additional sessions. Microneedling is safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types. One of the only conditions we cannot treat with microneedling is active acne. If active acne is minimal we can treat around it, but if not we would recommend a series of peels to clear up active acne before beginning microneedling.

XEOMIN

Xeomin, also known as “Smart Tox”, is a neurotoxin similar to Botox. We chose to offer this neurotoxin because it has everything you need and nothing you don’t! Xeomin is double filtered and has all unnecessary proteins removed making this a great option for patients with autoimmune disorders. Patients are less likely to build a resistance to this neurotoxin and have reported it has a quicker onset and lasts a little longer compared to other brands of neurotoxins. ELAINE BRENNAN SKIN RENEWAL PEELING SYSTEM

This peel is a more intense version of the “Get Glowing Micro Peel”. The Skin Renewal Peeling System treats all skin types and conditions, but does have more downtime and requires more patient compliance for safety and best results. For this peel you will come into the office two days in a row; each day you will lay with the peeling cream on your skin for 2 hours. This is a controlled depth peel so it will not reach the living layers of the skin but it does penetrate deep enough to stimulate collagen and elastin production through the wound healing response created. This peel treats at the cellular level instead of only superficially, which sets it apart from other known chemical peels. You will experience redness and swelling the first few days followed by sheet peeling of the skin. On day 7 or 8 you will come back into the office to have a provider remove any remaining old skin, exposing your glowing new skin. Immediate results will be noticed but more pronounced results may be noted 2-3 weeks post peel removal and up to 12 months post peel since collagen takes 8 weeks to form. Patients with melasma or severe hyperpigmentation may need 2-3 treatments total, but may assess necessity of additional treatment after their first peel.

DERMAPLANE FACIALS

Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation that removes dead skin cells and vellus hair from the surface of the face. This form of exfoliation smooths the skin and allows for the active ingredients in skincare products and treatments to penetrate deeper which increases their efficacy & anti-aging benefits. Over time, frequent dermaplane treatments may lessen the appearance of acne scars and hyperpigmentation; however, this improvement will be minimal so you will need to opt for chemical peels, microneedling and lasers to thoroughly remove scars and hyperpigmentation.

ESTHEMAX HYDROJELLY MASKS

Hydrojelly masks are a fun add-on to any facial service! They pair great with dermaplane treatments or enzyme peels, and come in a variety of formulations to treat different skin concerns.

WAXING

Waxing is a hair removal process in which wax is applied to the skin to remove unwanted body or facial hair. Hard wax is applied and pulled in the opposite direction of hair growth once it has hardened. Waxing can last 3-6 weeks depending on the area of the body/face and how quickly your hair grows. Hormonal imbalances and PCOS can contribute to faster hair growth cycles.

MEDICAL GRADE SKINCARE

We offer Skin Better, Hydrinity, Glymed and iS Clinical for medical grade skincare in our office. Medical grade skincare is the foundation of all skin treatment plans. If you are not using quality skincare at home daily, the treatments you are doing in office to correct skin concerns may only temporarily benefit you. The molecular weight of drugstore products is often too much to penetrate throughout the layers of the epidermis and dermis. So while it may feel good on your skin, it is only treating the most superficial layer which is solely responsible for skin texture. Acne, wrinkles, sun/age spots, melasma and acne scars must all be treated in the deeper layers of the skin with a smaller molecule. Medical grade skincare will also last you longer since it is highly concentrated and you don’t need to use as much. Consistency is key in skincare so expect to notice positive changes in your skin after 4-6 weeks of consistent, twice a day use. Ask to schedule a consultation for a customized skincare regimen!

LASER HAIR REMOVAL

For laser hair removal we use the Candela Gentle Max Pro Plus, which is the gold standard in laser hair removal treatments. This is a dual wavelength system with both 1064 YAG and 755 ALEX wavelengths so that we can safely treat all shades of skin. With this device we can treat all face and body parts of any hair thickness as long as the hair has pigment to it (gray, white, red and light blonde hair do not respond to treatment). We can treat vellus hair as fine as peach fuzz as well as thick ingrown hairs. This laser uses cryogen cooling to enhance comfort and reduce the need for topical anesthetic. We recommend starting with a package of 6 treatments spaced out every 4-6 weeks depending on the area; this should get you to 80-90% hair reduction. Additional treatments may be purchased if additional hair reduction is desired. Only 1-2 maintenance sessions may be needed annually. Laser Compliance: This is a laser so patients must be compliant with pre and post care instructions for their safety. Please fully shave the treatment area 12-24 hours before your laser hair removal appointments unless otherwise instructed by your provider. No tweezing, waxing or threading the area 6 weeks before or in between appointments. Please do not come to laser appointments with a spray tan or self-tanner on the area to be treated; this will need to be fully exfoliated off before your appointment. No sun exposure or tanning beds 4 weeks before your appointment and no sun exposure after for at least 2 weeks (SPF application and reapplication every 2 hours in the sun is required). If you are on an antibiotic or photosensitizing medication you must wait at least 2 weeks after the final dose of your medication to come in for your laser appointment. Patients that take Accutane must be at least 6 months from their last dose to be laser candidates.

ELAINE BRENNAN "GET GLOWING MICRO PEEL" CHEMICAL PEEL

This is a perfect introductory peel for anyone new to peels or medical aesthetics in general. This peel uses resorcinol, salicylic acid and kojic acid as its main ingredients to provide controlled exfoliation of the skin. This peel treats skin texture, acne, fine lines, skin discoloration, acne scars, dull skin and large pores and has little to no downtime. You may resume wearing makeup and using your normal skincare, with the exception of retinols and acids, the day after treatment. We recommend a series of 3-6 peels depending on the skin concerns. Acne, melasma and hyperpigmentation may require closer to 6 treatments but that can be determined after the first 3 treatments are performed. Some patients may not peel at all. Patients who do peel typically begin peeling on day 3 or 4 and peeling will last about 3 days.

PIGMENTED LESION REMOVAL

The Candela Gentle Max Pro Plus is used for benign pigmented lesion removal. We can treat age spots, sun spots, freckles and moles as long as they are non-cancerous. Anything that your practitioner might suspect to be more than just a pigmented lesion may need clearance from a dermatologist before being removed in office via laser therapy. The most common areas treated are the face, hands and chest. The treatment has minimal downtime aside from protecting the area from sun exposure and 2-4 treatments may be needed for complete removal of all pigment.

VEIN REMOVAL

We use the Candela Gentle Max Pro Plus for our laser for vein removal. With this device we can treat small telangiectasia (broken capillaries) on the nose and cheeks as well as spider veins on the legs. This treatment is very tolerable as it uses cryogen to cool the area as the laser is being pulsed. Smaller vessels may only need one treatment, but larger spider veins may require 2-3 treatments. We are also able to treat cherry angiomas with this device on any area of the face or body.
